SCEC
is a local economic development nonprofit serving Washington
County, Maine since 1993. Located in the heart of Down East
Maine, SCEC works with small business, state, and local
government on a wide range of initiatives from sustainable
tourism to business and community development, to bring good
paying jobs to Washington County.
SCEC
has an active Board of Directors who represent Down East
Maine’s core industries, including aquaculture, forestry,
transportation, banking, healthcare, education and small scale
manufacturing, along with representatives from the
Washington County Commissioners, Legislative Delegation, and Passamaquoddy Tribal Government.
The
Sunrise County Economic Council initiates and facilitates
the creation of prosperity and jobs in Washington County.
